Dear Kindergarten Families,
We miss you! We miss seeing your children’s beautiful smiles and the daily reward of watching them learn. Using this site as an aide and parental support, we believe that the learning will continue.
New lessons/activities will be posted each Monday and Wednesday. You will see them show up in the form of Blog Posts at the top of the page and below the Blog Posts you will see the same lessons posted in a calendar format. The links posted within the calendar are downloadable for those of you who prefer a printed copy. Keep in mind, of course, that when using a printed copy, you do not have access to the links.
Some lessons may include a video portion. These videos are for our Kindergarten students only and ask that you kindly not repost or share these links. We do not want to see our faces showing up on the internet without our consent.
There are 8 Kindergarten teachers from 4 different schools in our District that are contributing lessons to our weekly lesson bank. We thought you should be aware of this so that you are not surprised to see different teaching styles from those which you have become accustomed.
Lastly, this site is for you to use as you wish. In teaching, we try our best to follow the child’s lead to best facilitate learning. In other words, children are going to engage if they are interested. We would like you to do the same. If you feel that a lesson is not going to work for your child, feel free to skip it. Use these lessons, adapt them, extend them and modify them as you please. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email your child’s teacher. We are all working together to make this time of learning as successful as possible.
